Home & Comfort Interiors, LLC, originally started in 1996 under the name of Special Touch Decorating, a part-time business. In 2001, Home & Comfort Interiors was launched as a full service interior decorating company. We have a team of proven professionals including painters, wallpaper installers, carpenters, carpet and flooring installers and of course, window treatment fabricators and installers. We have a showroom at 24 Elmwood Drive in Rumford, RI, as well as a studio. Whether you come to us, or we come to you, Home & Comfort delivers.
About Patricia Mahler, President of Home & Comfort Interiors:
Whether she knew it or not, Pat started her career as soon as she could reach the foot pedal on the sewing machine. An appreciation for fine fabrics lead her to begin fabricating home décor items for friends and family. Prior to launching the business full time, she was educated by the industry and got her certification in 2001 by the Window Fashions Certification Program and Hunter Douglas. Education in this business is on-going, as Pat attends conferences around the country and whenever the opportunity presents. She is now celebrating her 11th year in business. She is a local and national member of the Window Coverings Association of America and the Attleboro Area Chamber of Commerce where she serves as an Ambassador. (View Pat's resume)
Seminars and mentoring:
A passion for creativity, as well as wanting to make a contribution to her clients and the industry has lead her to begin teaching others. She has created many different seminars and workshops that she offers to the community at places like the YMCA, Libraries, Home Décor shops, and the Learning Connection. Also, she mentors at least two people at a time in a structured classroom setting, business development and on-the-job training, “Some people say I’m creating my own competition, “ says Pat “but I believe we can all work together for the greater good.”
